After the death of Moses, God commissioned his successor Joshua to take the children of Israel and cross over the Jordan into the Promised Land.
Joshua was built with a purpose by God to do something that Moses could not do, and that was to lead the children of Israel out of the wilderness into the land flowing with milk and honey.
Joshua was already prepared to do what he was assigned to do. Yet before God commissioned Joshua, He allowed Moses to cultivate the man that he was destined to become. Moses appointed Joshua as his commander which pushed him to step out of his comfort zone and prepare him for destiny.
God knows exactly who we need to push us into who we are destined to be. It’s like the woman who is pregnant for nine months and then delivers that baby, which is the purpose behind the process. Okay well what about the Doula and Midwife?
Let us not forget the Doula who is responsible to assist in providing physical as well as emotional support during childbirth. Then you have the Midwife who is a professional and has the qualification to help a pregnant woman in delivering a baby. That Midwife is going to get down in the trenches with you and push you through the pain and tears. She doesn’t mind getting dirty because she wants to see you have a successful outcome which is to deliver that baby in good health and in one piece!
Yes Joshua did the work but there were many people in his life behind the scenes that helped push, encourage, support, and cultivate the man he’d become to do what God had called him to do.
I want to sound the alarm for those individuals who help those of us who are like Joshua fulfill God’s promise in the earth. At the end of the day God gets the glory, yet I’m so thankful for people who want to see you succeed and reach your full potential!
I come against the blockers, the back stabbers, and so called men and women of God who don’t want to see you reach your full potential because they see you as a threat or maybe just don’t like you for no apparent reason. After all it’s not about us, it’s about Jesus!
For those of you who are like Joshua out there, I pray that God will send divine connections of people who are for you and not against you, people who genuinely want to see God’s purpose fulfilled in you. Let the spiritual Doulas and Midwives Arise throughout the Body of Christ. For the Kingdom of God is at hand, and there is much work to do and not much time to do it! Let us put our differences aside and come together in harmony and on one accord to proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So step out of your comfort zone, break through the barriers, and launch out into the deep by going deeper in Christ. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
