Access Denied, Now What?

Every day we go in and out of our homes, we get in and out of our cars, we go into the office of our jobs to work, and then leave to get back into the car to end up back home where we feel most comfortable.

For our homes and cars we have the keys of access to come and go as we please. For our jobs we may have a security badge to gain access to the building or office where we do our work.

Webster’s definition of Access: The capacity to enter or approach; entrance. To get at; gain access to.

Just imagine one morning you get up to go to work and when you leave the house, you realize the key no longer works to get into your car. With frustration, you decide to catch an uber to work to prevent being late. When you arrive to work, your security badge is no longer active and does not allow you to get into the building. After such a stressful day you’ve had, when you finally get home to rest and unwind, you realize your key does not work to get into your house. Throughout the entire day when you’ve reported the access issues to the appropriate persons, they all say the same thing…”Access Denied”.  How would you feel or handle this situation?

What if that home or car or office building is the sin in your life that so easily beset you? We have access to fornication, drinking excessive alcohol, lying, stealing, and more every single day. We use our keys or security badges (symbolizes the flesh) that lead us into temptation. This behavior results in sin.

God knows your heart, He knows that you are convicted when you do the wrong things. He knows that you want to change your ways, but you keep using your access (the flesh) into these areas of your life that causes you to sin over and over. Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid.

Thank God for Jesus who steps in and helps us! When you are a man or woman of God that has purpose on the inside, you are called and chosen to do great and mighty things for God’s kingdom. God loves you enough to completely remove you from the situation that causes you to sin. He may remove the person or people that influences you to fall into sin. He even takes away the keys and security badges. Your Access is Denied!

The people you used to hang with are gone, the places you used to go are no longer there. You may not like how it feels, but God chastens those He loves and He knows what’s best for His children. So now what?

IT’S TIME TO DIE!

(Rom. 5:6-7) says: Knowing this, that our old man’s crucified with Him that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he who is dead is freed from sin.

Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. The flesh must die daily. Sometimes you have to speak it out into the atmosphere about your sin. Declare and decree that “I’m dead to it.” “It” would be whatever that sin is. “I’m dead to it”, “God I love you”, and “God I want you.” Declare and decree this every day.

“While the sin nature is not dead, we are dead unto the sin nature by virtue of the Cross and our Faith in that sacrifice, but only as long as our Faith continues in the Cross, living the Resurrection Life!” – Jimmy Swaggart
